Collier County Commissioner – Dan Kowal
Daniel Kowal is a U.S. Army veteran, retired law enforcement officer, and dedicated public servant with a passion for protecting and uplifting his community.
After serving as a Combat Medic in the Army’s 705th Combat Search and Rescue Platoon, Daniel transitioned to law enforcement, excelling in dignitary protection, narcotics enforcement, and human trafficking investigations. His bravery earned him multiple awards, including the Distinguished Service Medal and lifesaving recognitions.
Now a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Daniel continues to give back through charitable work, supporting veterans, children, and victims of abuse. His life’s mission is service—whether in uniform or in the community.
A compelling speaker, Daniel shares gripping stories of courage, resilience, and the importance of leadership in challenging times.
About Councilman Christman

Ray Christman – Naples City Councilman & Community Advocate
Ray Christman has dedicated his career to shaping vibrant, resilient communities. Elected to Naples City Council in 2019 and re-elected in 2022, he brings decades of leadership in urban planning, economic development, and environmental advocacy.
A Florida State University graduate with a master’s in City Planning from the University of Pittsburgh, Ray played a key role in Pittsburgh’s economic transformation, leading the city’s Urban Redevelopment Authority and the Pittsburgh Technology Council. He later served as Pennsylvania’s Secretary of Commerce and led both the Pittsburgh and Atlanta Federal Home Loan Banks.
In Naples, Ray is a champion for environmental sustainability, water quality, and responsible growth. As Chairman of the Community Redevelopment Agency, he is spearheading efforts to revitalize the Design District and expand affordable housing.
Before joining City Council, he led Ethics Naples, successfully advocating for stronger ethics policies in local government.
Ray’s deep expertise in urban planning, financial leadership, and environmental stewardship makes him a dynamic speaker on the future of Naples and the challenges facing our community.
Ray and his wife, Eileen, have been part of the Naples community since the 1980s and officially made it home in 2003. They have three adult children and one grandchild.
